 Return of Sir Philip De Laszlo prortrait of the Queen Mother, which has been hanging in the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh as part of the Great Houses of Scotland exhibition in which the seven great Houses(Glamis,Scone Palace,Blair Castle,Thirlestane,Traquair,Ballindalloch and Dunrobin Castle) each displayed various paintings & treasures., to Glamis Castle The Earl & Countess of Strathmore commissioned de Laszlo to paint their youngest daughter,The Duchess of York,in 1926;she sat for the portrait sometime after the birth of her first child - now HM The Queen
